Grocery Haul and Meal Planning

WEEKLY GROCERY HAUL ON A BUDGET & MEAL PLAN – 20 July TO 27 July 2018

My weekly grocery haul on a budget & meal plan for this week is up!

This week, I had a few products that I need to get. As I mentioned in my last week’s grocery haul, I found it more difficult to meal plan and eat vegetarian meals in the summer. After all, it’s barbecue season! 🙂

WEEKLY GROCERY HAUL ON A BUDGET & MEAL PLAN – 27 July TO 3 August 2018

My budget was 80$, and I spent 88$. I will explain why. The two shops I went to were: Sami fruits and Maxi.

I prepared a Brunch for my friends on Saturday and needed a few ingredients!

Here are some of the things that I got in my weekly grocery haul for the Brunch:

  • Bacon
  • Spinach
  • Eggs
  • Tomatoes
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Mango

It’s Brunch Time!

Sweet potato breakfast:

I had two sweet potatoes left. I chopped them in cubes, added onions, pepper, Italian seasoning, thyme and black pepper. It was a salt-free meal since my friends don’t eat salt! I mixed all the ingredients and baked them for 40mn! I love potatoes for breakfast! #strange 🙂

Mediterranean omelet:

I prepared a Mediterranean omelet from a recipe found on Pinterest. It’s mainly eggs, spinach, tomatoes and feta! Super easy and delicious!

Bacon:

Baked at 350°c.

Pancakes:

I follow Ricardo’s Pancake recipe! The easiest and the best! I had already Maple Syrop. We also had super tasty honey from Tunisia!

Mango and Cherry Tomatoes:

I chopped a Mango.

Bagels:

We bought some Bagels at a local store!

I bought raspberry and whipping cream to bake a Raspberry Bavarois again! I’m sorry the recipe is in French.

I bought a bunch of tomatoes and Jalapeno to make a Tunisian recipe: Chakchouka Tunisienne. You can eat this meal alone with bread. Or use it as stuffing for the Tunisian sandwich that I made: Chapati Mahdia.

Tortillas are essential for me in the summer. Great to use as a Pizza crust! The chicken breasts were on sale! I bought panko for them and my favourite creamer: The Baileys. It’s part of My June Favorites if you want to check it out!

Finally, I needed Ziploc bags and containers for the freezer. I always make a lot of Pizza sauce to freeze. After, I have to take it out and use it with a tortilla or pita. It costs me 8$ more.

Meal plan:

  • Chapati
  • Tortilla Pizza
  • Chicken wings in the Barbecue
  • Breaded chicken breast
  • Spinach pie

With a lot of salads!

Hope you like it,

XoXo!
