I’m back with another grocery haul: A weekly Grocery haul on a budget & meal plan – 16 to 26 july 2018. It’s been awhile and the reason why is that I always forget to take a picture of my shopping. I love making this kind of blog posts, and I missed it. Grocery and Costco hauls are my favourite to watch. I’m a budget addict and always curious about how other people manage their grocery budget! It inspires me to do better!
The first step to my Grocery haul on a budget:
Before every grocery shopping, I always check my favourite app: Flipp. I will scroll through the closest groceries flyers to select the one I will go to depending on the sales.
The second step to my Grocery haul on a budget:
The second step is to meal plan. I found it extremely difficult to plan for the summer. With the hot weather, I want to eat a tone of fruits and my husband a tone of salads! We tend to cook less of a full meal and favour quick recipes. In the winter, we eat meat 3 to the maximum four times a week. It’s quite hard to stick to that in the summer. I mean, it’s barbecue season, right! You have to take advantage! 🙂
What I will do is, have a global idea of meals to prepare. It usually implies tortilla, pita, salads, fruits… You get the idea! 🙂
A quick reminder:
My budget is 80$ per week plus, between a 100$ and 140$ for Costco every 3 to 4 weeks.
Old cheddar was on deal! I love it as a snack with grapes!
I got three packs of pita bread for sandwiches and quick dinner! We like to eat pita with olive oil in the evening.
Watermelon is a must for this season!
I got the essential for a chicken tortilla sandwich! Check out this week’s bonus recipe: Chicken wrap recipe in 20mn!
Yogurt is an essential as I often use it for dipping and frozen yogurt (frozen fruits, yogurt and maple syrup).
Hope you enjoy it,
