Monthly Favourites

June Favorites: Beauty, Makeup, Fashion & Food (2018)!

I’m starting a new series on my blog: My monthly favourites. I don’t know why I didn’t think about it sooner :). I sure try quite a few products every month. Plus, I love to cook and try new recipes. This is the perfect timing to start my monthly favourites by writing my first June favourites!

Let’s dive into the blog post!

My Monthly Favourites: Beauty:

I have two beauty favourites this month. The Ordinary Niacinamide and The Tea Tree Essential Oil.

At the beginning of the month, I tried removing my facial hair. It resulted in a massive breakout all over my jawline. It happened to me before and was entirely my fault. I should have disinfected my face better before removing the hairs. I have oily and sensible skin! When I used to leave in Tunisia, I never noticed that I had facial hair. Since it’s a hot sunny country, my duvet was blonde and so invisible. Having less sun in Canada resulted in my hair going darker! So, my latest attempt to shave resulted in a disaster. I think it didn’t help that I choose the hottest week to do it!

Tea Tree Essential Oil is my go to breakout treatments.

It’s the most efficient product that I ever used! You should be careful about using it since it’s a powerful, concentrated essence. It can quickly burn you. After, 3 or 4 days, my pimples disappeared.

I started using Niacinamide in the winter. It claims that it reduces the appearance of imperfections and skin congestion. It does! I find that it helps control my oily skin!

If you follow me on Instagram, you know that I’m not a big fan of nail polish on my hands. I’m pretty active, and nail polishes don’t last on my nails at all. Usually, I get a 24h wear tops! I recently bought 2 Opi Polishes and a Sèche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat. Patience is not a virtue of mine, so this Top Coat has been a saver! It makes your polish dry super fast! Never a Dulles moment is the colour that I’m obsessed with from the OPI range. It’s a super pretty yellow which looks fantastic with a tan. I love it. With both products, I got a 48h wear without chipping.

My Monthly Favourites: Makeup:

This month, I’ve been obsessed with the 2 SophX Palettes, going back and forth between both of them. Here are the links to the Soph X and Soph X Extra Spice Eyeshadow Palettes. I love how it’s easy to create a look using only two eyeshadows. The fact that both palettes contain a variety of colours and finishes make them particle and fun.

The Covergirl Clean Matte BB Cream is my other makeup favourite. I have been using it non stop since the moment I got it. It has a medium, buildable coverage and is matte! I did a full review on it! Check it out! I love that it’s comfortable to wear in a super hot climate.

My Monthly Favourites: Fashion:

Flat sandals are usually not my favourite, especially open toe sandals! I hate my feet, so I want to cover them as much as possible! My feet are pretty sensible, especially in the summer! They tend to double their size in humid, hot weather. I came across a pretty sandal at Le Château and immediately fall in love with the colour and the design. It’s super comfortable and cute! i got them for only 25$!

My Monthly Favourites: Food:

Last month, I was scrolling through the internet searching for an easy, tasty iced coffee recipe! I decided to pick up Bailey’s creamer (with no alcohol) and didn’t regret it!

Iced Coffee quick recipe:

  • Tassimo Nabob 100% Colombian or any other coffee you have on hand
  • Two teaspoons of Bailey’s
  • One teaspoon of Maple Sirop
  • Ice

The coffee turned out to be delicious. The Bailey’s is worth trying! Yummy!
