Sunscreen is the most tricky and difficult beauty product to buy if you have oily skin. As a teenager, I used to hate putting on sunscreen. The greasy sensation that a lot of sunscreens left on my skin use to disgust me. A lot of them, unfortunately, clog pores and leave a white cast.
I was on a hunt for an excellent light sunscreen for acne/oily skin. One of my 2018’s resolution is to be more careful and disciplined regarding the application of sun protection. I was quite hesitant about the choice of the brand. I heard good thing about La Roche Posay sun care. In the end, I opted for a more natural option. This week’s review will be on the Derma E Natural Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 30.
Derma E Natural Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen ingredients:
Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 20%.
Hypoallergenic, non-irritating, sensitivity tested, fragrance-free, paraben-free, gluten-free, GMO-free and 100% vegan.
Derma E Natural Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen claims:
The main active ingredient is the Zinc Oxide which is a chemical free UVA/UVB protection without clogging pores.
It’s infused with Vitamin C and Green Tea. Both ingredients are extra protection against the UV. They reduce the signs of ageing and help recover after sun exposure.
It says that it’s lightweight, sheer, non-greasy. It absorbs quickly and wearable under makeup.
Where to buy it and price:
I bought mine at my favourite online shop for natural beauty products: well.ca.
24,99$ for 56g. The price is quite ok. Sunscreen can be expensive. I bought mine at 20% off. Keep your eyes open for sales!
Colour and texture:
On the derma E website, it said that it was a sheer formula. The colour is a little white for my liking. The feel is nice. It’s lightweight, spreads easily and penetrates super quickly.
My opinion on the Derma E Natural Mineral Oil Free Sunscreen SPF 30:
I must say right away; this is the best sunscreen I ever used. The texture is pleasant. The fact that I don’t feel it on my skin is a plus.
I tried it in different weather situation, and it was amazing each time. The past weekend was pretty hot in Montreal. Usually, in a warm climate, I feel greasy in about a couple of hours. This time, I wasn’t disgusted with myself at all. My face didn’t feel oily what so ever!
I applied makeup over the sunscreen. I haven’t noticed any interference. After many years of testing, I think I found the perfect sunscreen for the summer.
No sunburn to report. My husband got one; he should have listened to me:).
This is my favourite sunscreen. I strongly advise you to try it. It will not disappoint. Don’t forget to wait for the sale!
Have a great weekend!
