My Travel Makeup Bag!

Preparing for your vacation can be a little stressful! You want to look your best, have enough choices for each circumstance and not overload your luggage! I’m a Makeup Lover, so it’s usually a hard choice to make in the makeup department. The last couple of years, I was terrible at organizing my Travel makeup bag! But I finally nailed it this year!

So, if you want to know what’s in my travel makeup bag, keep reading!

The past years, I was so afraid of missing something that I packed too much!

This time when preparing my bag, I carefully chose my makeup according to these criteria:

  1. It has to be compact. Last year, I travelled with my well-loved Morphe Brushes 25A and 25B Eyeshadow Palette and ended up not using them that much.
  2. It must be a well-loved product (a must have). It isn’t the time to be experimenting!
  3. If it’s possible, it has to be a multitasking product.

As you may know, I’m the Co-Founder of Orabel.ca (read my story). It’s an online beauty store specialized in bringing hard to find products to Canadians. Thereby, I have quite a makeup collection. I genuinely believe in the products I sell so, in consequence, 80% of my makeup collection is from Orabel.ca.

What’s in my travel makeup bag?

  • Let’s start with Face Products:

The first thing I took was a primer. In my day to day life, I never prime my face. Never had the best of luck with face primers. Since I had my best friend wedding to attend, I decided to take the only one I have: The Ordinary, The High Adherence Silicone Primer. It’s an ok primer. Nothing fabulous to say about it. It’s the only one I had so didn’t have that much of choice. I have a full review of The Ordinary products and four the majority of them except this primer.

I choose to take two foundations. First, The Rimmel London Lasting Finish Foundation which is my holy grail. It’s full coverage and super long wearing! Second, I took my Marcelle Flawless Foundation. It’s a medium coverage foundation with a natural finish., perfect for day wear.

For powder, I went for 2. The Milani Even-Touch Powder which is lightweight powder and the Rimmel London Stay Matte for the evenings!

Without a doubt or a hesitation, I choose my trusty Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Goddess. This palette is just perfect! It contains four different blushes and four different highlighters. As a makeup junkie, 4 highlighters to choose from were not enough! I decided to take one of the Makeup Revolution Triple Baked Highlighters in Goddess Of Faith. Makeup Revolution does the best drugstore blushes and highlighters!

These last few months, I’ve favorite with contouring! It makes such a difference! The Makeup Revolution Contour Palette is my favourite. So, I had to have it in hand!

  • For the eyes:

I brought 2 Makeup Revolution eyeshadow palettes: The Golden Bar and the Naked Chocolate. These are in my top 5 makeup revolution products! I love them. So, practical and easy to carry and use! The Naked Chocolate is a stunning everyday palette!

Since I have very sensitive eyes, I can only use natural mascaras. The Pacifica one is a nice one. I almost forgot to mention my holy grail concealer which is the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind. I also took the Essence Brow Gel.

  • Finally, for the lips:

I took 4 colours. 2 of my favorite Renaissance Lipsticks from Makeup Revolution: Luxe and Prime. 2 of the Morphe Brushes Liquid Lipsticks in Peanut and Phatty.

Luxe is a gorgeous brown and Phatty a super pretty dark pink!

I was quite proud of myself; I managed to fit my essentials with a couple of extras in my travel makeup bag. This year is a win!
